Robert came to law as a second career committed to the idea that excellent skill, knowledge, and representation are not just a goal, but an absolute requirement.  As Managing Partner of KPM LAW’s Fairfax Office, Robert put together and manages an aggressive team of litigation professionals committed to aggressive, efficient and responsive promotion of client interests.

Robert focuses his practice on the defense of large loss and complex commercial and construction claims, contract disputes, professional and business liabilities, commercial transportation accidents, and premises liability, as well as insurance coverage analysis and litigation.  He has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued in the appellate courts of Virginia, Maryland and the Fourth Circuit.

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Robert received a full scholarship to study opera at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.  He sang for ten years on stages from the east coast to Chicago before returning to law school at the College of William and Mary, where he took second place in William Mary’s National Moot Court competition and was a member of the I’Anson-Hoffman Inns of Court.  Robert is happily married and also manages his boy-girl twins and a wonderful mixed-breed, rescue dog.

A graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, James began his legal career in 2011, and cultivated his legal skills and client management acumen as a transactional attorney in the International Transactions and Corporate Law Department of an international law firm in South Korea. His legal experience has encompassed a variety of specialties including cross-border transactions, business law, contract law, employment law, immigration law, and volunteering for causes that are close to his heart. As a US attorney working overseas, James also found the opportunity to meet the legal needs of US federal employees, the military community, and expats stationed at or near Camp Humphreys, Yongsan Garrison, and Seoul, South Korea.

With the ability to speak English and Korean, James has a proven track record of satisfied clients who know that they can depend on him to listen, and to act vigorously on their behalf. Whether finalizing agreements for Fortune 500 companies, drafting a pleading, or walking a client through a complex immigration application, James works with passion and vigor to ensure the best result possible for his client.

James is an avid musician and martial arts aficionado who loves playing with his kids and arguing about which Marvel Studio Film is the best.
