For the past twenty-two years, J.H. has concentrated his practice on defending insurance companies, businesses and individuals from lawsuits in the State and Federal Courts of Virginia. He has tried and argued cases in many venues in Virginia, including both the Eastern and Western Districts for the United States District Court, The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and he specializes in complex litigation, frequently involving new or novel legal issues.
J.H. is a retired amateur bicycle racer, with multiple medals in the Virginia State Championships, including a gold medal in 2009. He currently plays indoor and outdoor soccer on a number of age graded teams in the area. He and his wife, the Director of the non-profit organization RAMPS (Ramp Access Made Possible by Students), have two children.
