Francie Georges
Managing Partner, Workers' Compensation Practice Group
Robert came to law as a second career committed to the idea that excellent skill, knowledge, and representation are not just a goal, but an absolute requirement. As Managing Partner of KPM LAW’s Fairfax Office, Robert put together and manages an aggressive team of litigation professionals committed to aggressive, efficient and responsive promotion of client interests.
Robert focuses his practice on the defense of large loss and complex commercial and construction claims, contract disputes, professional and business liabilities, commercial transportation accidents, and premises liability, as well as insurance coverage analysis and litigation. He has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued in the appellate courts of Virginia, Maryland and the Fourth Circuit.
After graduating from the University of Virginia, Robert received a full scholarship to study opera at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. He sang for ten years on stages from the east coast to Chicago before returning to law school at the College of William and Mary, where he took second place in William Mary’s National Moot Court competition and was a member of the I’Anson-Hoffman Inns of Court. Robert is happily married and also manages his boy-girl twins and a wonderful mixed-breed, rescue dog.
Francie is the attorney that clients call when they need aggressive action and creative solutions. Having practiced at KPM LAW for 24 years, Francie has a wealth of litigation experience under her belt, having defended personal injury claims from automobile accidents, product and premises liability claims, general commercial liability claims and property damage claims for a variety of insurance companies and their insureds.
Francie graduated from the University of Toledo, College of Law in 1997. She was then chosen for a clerkship in the Staff Attorney's office for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She joined KPM Law in 1998. After being promoted to partner, she joined the firm's Workers' Compensation Practice Group and along with Claire Cafritz Carr helped to grow that practice though her passionate and aggressive advocacy for her clients, her willingness to go the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction, and her mentorship and training of new associates.
Francie now defends workers' compensation claims for an array of clients from local to major international corporations. She has also developed a loyal insurance client base, who appreciate her doggedness and ingenuity in defending their insureds. Francie frequently utilizes her expertise in training and onboarding new adjusters and guiding her corporate clients in improving safety measures. She has proven herself to be a fierce advocate and knowledgeable resource for her clients and an indispensable partner to the firm.
Outside the office, Francie is as much an advocate for her family as she is an avid soccer and show choir mom. She enjoys spending free time with her husband, two teenage daughters, and two Golden Retrievers at Lake Gaston.
