Kate joined KPM in 2019 and concentrates her insurance defense practice on transportation and motor carrier litigation as well as employment law with a focus on corporate compliance and litigation. Her experience working with various types of businesses and organizations has influenced Kate’s approach to handling critical legal matters.  She recognizes that the essential character of each business’ culture and structure is key to successfully and fully providing top-tier service to any corporate client, and works diligently to build relationships with clients that enable her to identify those qualities.

A Massachusetts native, Kate found her home in Richmond when she attended the University of Richmond as an undergraduate, earning a B.A. in History. She fell in love with both the city and the school, returning to the familiar campus to complete her J.D. at the T.C. Williams School of Law.

Kate enjoys spending her free time discovering new places to eat, exploring wineries and breweries throughout the area, and an occasionally hiking in the foothills and nearby mountains. Kate believes football season is the best season and will refrain from indicating which team she roots for, as she knows such allegiances can be controversial.  Clients can count on Kate’s commitment to their needs regardless of team affiliations.
