Joe grew up outside of Charlotte, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate studies. He then attended the University of Richmond School of Law where he served as the Articles Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review. During law school, he interned at the United States Patent Office and for the Hon. Cleo Powell at the Supreme Court of Virginia. Upon graduation, Joe briefly worked in-house for a TPA taking over the public sector workers’ compensation program for the D.C. Office of Risk Management.
An avid sports fan, Joe enjoys following UNC basketball, the Carolina Panthers, and the Washington Nationals. When not working with clients and colleagues, Joe enjoys running, mountain biking, playing golf, seeing live music, and spending time with his wife and dog.
