Rachel is a Partner at KPM Law with 18 years of litigation experience.  She represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of litigation, from the initial discovery phase to trial work and appellate practice before the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia.  Rachel is known by her peers as being fair, thorough, and detail-oriented, as is evidenced by her consistent recognition by Virginia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star every year since 2015.

Workers’ compensation is a fast-paced practice area that allows Rachel and her team to collaborate on how to best achieve favorable results for their clients.  Rachel happily escapes the office to assist clients with a myriad of litigation issues, including workers’ compensation training, safety meetings, in-house presentations, and claim reviews.  She is a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation law and legislative updates in Virginia and is an active member of the legal community.  The fast-paced practice area of workers’ compensation necessitates an aggressive litigation approach and an understanding of the constantly evolving nuances of Virginia law.

Rachel hails from the great state of Ohio where she double majored in Psychology and History at Marietta College, earning her B.A. with honors in 2002.  She attended law school at the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating with honors in 2005.  While in law school, Rachel served as staff writer and associate editor of Law Review.  Her strong work ethic and academic acumen allowed her to finish her bachelor’s degree and start law school at the age of 20.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, hiking in the Shenandoah Valley, live music, and spending time with her family and many furry Blums.
