Brian received his B.S. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland in 1999 and his J.D. from the Catholic University, Columbus School of Law in 2004.  Prior to attending law school, he worked for several years on an offshoot of the Human Genome Project that was attempting to find the underlying genetic cause of cystic fibrosis for use in developing a cure.

He has been practicing law in both Virginia and the District of Columbia since his acceptance into the Virginia State Bar in 2004.  He began his practice at a well-recognized personal injury firm which provided him the opportunity to try a number of cases in both the circuit and general district courts.   Since joining Kalbaugh, Pfund and Messersmith in 2013, his practice has expanded to insurance defense with a concentration on automobile liability, premises liability, construction defect and property damage cases.
